Kenneth M. Black, DDS

Dr. Kenneth Black was born and raised in Bessemer City, a small town in the piedmont of North Carolina. He likes to point out that growing up in Bessemer City in the 60s was like growing up in “Mayberry”. After high school, Dr. Black served 4 years in the military and spent a year in Thailand. He then received his B.A. degree from UNC-Charlotte and his D.D.S. from UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Black has practiced dentistry in several locations in Eastern North Carolina before joining Drs. Kennedy & Kennedy in Chapel Hill, NC. He is married to Debra Lee Black who works as a nurse in Chapel Hill.

Jerre L. Kennedy, DDS

Dr. Jerre L. Kennedy is a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina. She attended UNC-Chapel Hill for undergraduate school and graduated from UNC School of Dentistry in 1986. She completed two-year general practice residencies in oral medicine at UNC Hospitals and VA Hospitals and spent five years in U.S. Public Health Service, during which time she treated the dental needs of commissioned officers on the campus of The National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

She also served as clinical research support for a dental implant study while at NIH. Dr. Jerre returned to Chapel Hill in 1993 to enter private practice with her uncle K. Carroll Kennedy. She is the mother of two elementary school-age children.

Amy D. T. Gadol , DDS

Dr. Gadol is a North Carolina native, born in Raleigh and raised in the small mountain town of Banner Elk. She graduated from Watauga High School in 1996, completed her Bachelors of Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1999, and finished her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from UNC-Chapel Hill's School of Dentistry in May 2004. Honors include: Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society, Golden Key Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, Dean's List, and the Robert E. Tormey, Jr Scholarship Award. She spent a month in Mexico during dental school serving the orphanage of Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos in Miacatlan. She served as a Student Health Alliance Coalition (SHAC) Coordinator for a year during dental school; the SHAC clinic offers free dental services to members in the community. Dr. Gadol is happily married to Eric N. Gadol; they reside in Durham with their two children. Dr. Gadol is an active member in her community, attending Blacknall Presbyterian church. She is also a member of the American Academy of Women Dentists, a member of the North Carolina Dental Society, and a member in good standing of the American Dental Association. She has completed coursework for Dental Oral Sedation as well as certified to complete Lumineer Veneers.
